Arte d'Alta Quota
In “Arte d'Alta Quota" l'artista coglie luoghi e paesaggi della Valle d'Aosta a lei cari e racconta le sue radici riviste con gli occhi e l'amore di chi vi ha fatto ritorno dopo lungo tempo lontano. Dialoga con la leggerezza dell’arte e la solidità della montagna e dei suoi valori e osserva la natura e l'abitato riflettendo sul concetto di "casa".
In "Arte d'Alta Quota" the artist captures places and landscapes of the Aosta Valley in the Alps that are dear to her, and tells her roots revisiting them through the eyes and love of a returnee after a long time away. She starts a dialogue between the lightness of the art and and the solidity of the mountain and its values. She observes nature and inhabited landscape reflecting on the concept of "home".
Urbanscapes
In “Urbanscapes", the artist express her vision of the cities she visited or lived. It is an angle, a motion, a detail and it is the essence of them. IIn“Urbanscapes" l'artista vuole esprimere la sua visione delle citta' in cui ha vissuto e viaggiato. E' un angolo, un movimento, un dettaglio e con questi la loro essenza.
The essence of being human (Archetypes)
In “The essence of being human", the artist strives to open a reflection and dialogue about what is the essence of being human. This art project is focused on the experience of TRANSITION and TRANSFORMATION and the continuous spiritual and internal development journey of a human being. To express that she uses the concept of Archetypes (both West and East) and connect their metaphorical language with the artistic one (read more in the blog)
Nude souls
In “Nude Soul", the naked body of a woman does not want to be only the expression of her physical beauty but searches a connection with the intimate soul and emotions of the person below the mask of the “official self", looking for wholeness, authenticity and profound connection with the viewer. Nude souls are also about the meaning of being human and the journey of transformation that each human being walk during life.In“Anime a Nudo" l'artista vuole esprimere, non solo la bellezza fisica del corpo della donna secondo i canoni occidentali odierni, ma soprattutto una ricerca di connessione con l'anima intima e con le emozione della persona che lo abita e che si nasconde dietro un se' ufficiale. L'autore va alla ricerca di interezza, autenticita' e intavola un dialogo profondo con lo spettatore che si rispecchia nell'immagine dipinta, parlando un linguaggio visivo e di emozioni che supera le barriere culturali. "Anime a nudo" e' una serie che tratta anche il tema dell'essenza e del significato di essere umano e del percorso di trasformazione che ogni persona percorre durante la vita.

About the artist (English)
Giorgia Madonno is Italian by origin and has been living in Asia since 2008 and previously in France and US. The encounter with different cultures has led her to deepen a research that goes to the essence of things, overcoming the equivocality of the first impression and the cultural trait. Giorgia digs into the soul of the places where she lives and in the human being, looking for a deep connection that goes beyond the cultural barrier and looks at diversity as an opportunity to get back into question and look at different angles. Asia in particular, which as the philosopher F. Jullien says contains our unimaginable and constitutes our "elsewhere", has made it a mirror and allowed her to look to herself and to the human condition with a sharper, more acute and richer eye.

About the artist (Italiano)
Giorgia Madonno, di origini italiane, vive all’estero da molti anni: in Asia dal 2008 e precedentemente negli Stati Uniti e in Francia. L’incontro con culture diverse l’ha portata ad approfondire una ricerca artistica che va all’essenza delle cose, superando l’equivocita’ della prima impressione e del tratto culturale. Giorgia scava nell’anima dei posti in cui vive e nell’ essere umano cercando una connessione profonda che va oltre la barriera culturale e guarda alla diversita’ come occasione per rimettersi in discussione e guardarsi da angoli diversi. L’Asia in particolare, che come dice il filosofo F. Jullien contiene il nostro impensato e costituisce il nostro “altrove", le ha fatto da specchio e le ha permesso di guardare a se’ e alla condizione umano con occhio piu’ acuto e piu’ ricco.
